John O'Donohue's Words of Blessing

Digital image Whidbey Island Rainbow by Ann Johnson

......
May a flock of colours
indigo, red, green
and azure blue
come to awaken in you
a meadow of delight

May the nourishment of the earth be yours
may the clarity of the light be yours
may the fluency of the ocean be yours
may the protection of the ancestors be yours

And so may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you
an invisibe cloak
to mind your life

~~~John O'Donohue
Thanks so much for this blessing! I haven't read much by O'Donahue yet, just this and a blessing Judith read at her ecstatic poetry reading. Perhaps I'm just waiting for these appetizers to show up so I'll come to the main course with more appreciation.
